Green Ink Edits provides editorial services for a wide variety of publications and file types. We will review either electronic or hard-copy documents as required. We are equally comfortable reviewing full manuscripts or brief documents. At Green Ink, we customize our services to meet the needs of our clients.

We have worked extensively with many types of documents, including: fiction; creative nonfiction; sequential art, graphic novel, and comic book scripts; blogs; educational documents and publications; nonprofit/association publications; and cookbooks.

We have access to a number of common software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat Professional, InDesign, and Photoshop; and Macromedia Dreamweaver. If we don’t currently have access to your preferred program, please ask us about it; we might be able to add that software to our list. Windows 7 is our operating system.

We offer several levels of editorial services to meet your needs:

• Proofreading: This entails correction of spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. It takes the least amount of time and should be selected when you are reasonably certain you are happy with the content and style of your work but are looking for a professional polish. We frequently catch errors that spell check does not!
• Copyediting: This entails basic proofreading plus a light review of sentence, paragraph, and document structure, word choice, consistency, and other essential elements of composition. This option should be selected when you need a little bit of input on how to construct your document so that it reads well and consistently.
• Heavy (Developmental) Editing: This is very much like it sounds – a major overhaul of your composition. We will review for all of the basic elements, of course, but we will also make suggestions to improve the style, tone, structure, and overall quality of the document. This option should be selected when you sense your composition needs a major re-write, but you don’t know exactly where to start.
• Copywriting: With your guidance and a little research, we can help you create compelling text for your website or marketing materials.
